GiftWorks is software that we designed to be easy to use, and we've made a pretty concerted effort to make tasks and functions easy to find and intuitive. We haven't always hit the mark exactly, but we've gotten pretty close. Most things that you're likely to want to do are never more than a click away, and hopefully the location and label of that click make sense.
We've also tried to make it pretty hard to really mess anything up. Anytime you're about to delete something or make a major change, you get an "Are you sure?" popup, giving you a chance to re-think before you commit.
I think this makes for pretty forgiving software, and software that's easy to explore. We provide a 30-day trial and a sample database to give you a "sandbox" to play in before you start working with your own data. Also, the importer in GiftWorks is pretty straightforward (for a technical tool) and affords you the opportunity to get your existing data into GiftWorks in a relatively painless manner. If your first import attempt doesn't go exactly as you'd imagined, you can always create a new database and try again.
So, users of GiftWorks, I encourage you to play around with GiftWorks. You're not likely to break anything, but you will learn a lot. Enjoy!
